The blues genre needs a visual personality that is both "down-to-earth" and "elegant". To reflect this, the design needed to bridge the gap between traditional roots music and the contemporary, celebratory atmosphere of a major 100,000-attendee event.

The primary challenge was to create a "bold and harmonious" identity that ensured maximum legibility and accessibility across various physical environments. Additionally, the design had to consider production efficiency, using a palette optimized for reliable CMYK reproduction and economical ink coverage.

Dynamic lines were used to guide the viewer's eye toward the featured performers such as Hozier and Vance Joy, while dark brown typography provided the strong contrast necessary for accessibility.
